Kookosmaito ja hunaja - Coconut milk and Honey

My favorite soap is now the green and white one that contains half beef tallow and half olive oil. I like it because the soap feels nice and hard, but it still feels like a Castile soap even if the bubbles are bigger. And my opinion is that this is a good soap for those with sensitive skin. My skin does not dry at all when I use the soap and it is very gentle and mild. I wanted to do something different this time, so I added cocoa butter, coconut milk and honey. These ingredients makes the soap more conditioning and adds bubbles.

175 g oliiviöljyä
175 g naudanrasvaa
30 g kaakaovoita

106 g pakastettua kookosmaitoa + 1 tl hunajaa
48 g lipeää
GF Jogurtti-tuoksuöljyä

175 g olive oil
175 g beef tallow
30 g cocoa butter

106 g frozen coconut milk + tsp honey
48 g lye
GF Yogurt fragrance oil

Earlier I read that the Yogurt FO should speed up trace, but I did not notice it at all. Maybe because I used olive oil and beef tallow. Emily form Sheih Design Studio (blog Soap and Restless) wrote that beef tallow slows down trace and it is good for soap that contains floral FO´s. The Yogurt FO smells totally different than I had imaged, but it is nice. I think it is a fresh floral scent and it softens a bit when the soap cures. The FO contains rose, magnolia, lily, carnation, sandalwood, orchids, musk and amber. I put the soap batter in single cavity molds, because honey can make the soap to overheat and beef tallow and cocoa butter makes the soap hard and it can be difficult to cut it if you cut the soap when the it has harden up to much. Now I still have to wait for a few weeks for the soaps to cure and then I can try what I think about them :)

The look is so creamy, I wish I could eat it:)
I made only once soap with beef tallow and I was impressed by the creamy properties of the soap, it really feels like a cream( sorry for repeating this word:).

    1. I´m blushing Natalia! Thank you so much. This soap also feels creamy and so gentle. Don´t even know what kind of vegetable oil or butter I could replace it with so the soap would feel the same. The FO is very interesting. I like it more in the cured soap.

  2. So white and nice! I haven't made a single piece of soap since last Amy's challenge, now your work has inspired me to get back to my soap kitchen! I don't even know if I can find tallow, but there are so many things I can dive into. This fragrance sounds intriguing, but this soap is perfect for any f.o.!

    1. Thanks :) I just love white soap! I also felt a bit exhausted after all the challenges. That is why I decided to make a simple soap. I just buy the tallow from my local grocery store. They order it for me from a local butcher. But I have to render it.

    1. Thank you Jenny :) Coconut milk is my favorite. The bubbles are so wonderful and honey makes them even bigger. I thin I´m a bubbloholic ;)

  4. I simply love it! I don't think that I can find beef tallow but honestly I haven't searched. On the other hand lard is really available for me but I don't know why I don't have any soap recipe with it. You definitely inspired me to think of trying animal fat in my future experiments.

    1. :) I also like lard, but I think beef tallow is a little bit better and harder. I don´t think there isn´t anything wrong with animal fats. As long as I´m not vegan, I will be using animal products like fat, milks and honey.
