I was so happy when I saw that Silvia from SoapJam had nominated me as a Versatile blogger. Thank you! If you don´t know her work, you should go and read her SoapJam-blog. My absolute favorite soap is the one made with yogurt and has a stripe made with activated charcoal.
VBA RULES:

(Copied from versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com)
If you are nominated, you’ve been awarded the Versatile Blogger award.
- Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
- Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.
- Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly. ( I would add, pick blogs or bloggers that are excellent!)
- Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award — you might include a link to this site.
- Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.
En meinaa noudattaa sääntöjä, koska haluan antaa tämän eteenpäin vaan yhdelle henkilölle, eli Signaturellin Signelle, koska hän on aika tuore saippuantekijä mutta hän on jo osannut tehdä hienoja luovia saippuoita sekä muuta kosmetiikkaa. I´m going to bend the rules a bit and only nominate Sigen from Signaturelli, because she is a new soap maker, but has already done some wonderful imaginative soaps and other cosmetics.
1. Asun Suomessa, rakkaassa synnyinmaassani ja olen ylpeä suomenruotsalaisista juuristani. I live in Finland, in the country that I was born and I´m proud to be a Finn who´s native language is Swedish and a little bit different traditions too.
2.Unelmoin siitä että voisin muuttaa maalle jossa voisi pitää mm. kanoja ja vuohia. Ja siellä voisi kasvattaa omat juurekset, marjat ja hedelmät. I dream of moving to the countryside where I could have for example chickens and goats. And I could grow my own vegetables, berries and fruits.
3. En ole tyypillinen suomalainen, eli en juo kahvia enkä alkoholia. Mutta rakastan tehdä olutsaippuoita. I´m not a typical Finn. I don´t drink coffee nor alcohol. But I love to make beer soap.
4. Olen aina inhonut käsitöitä, kunnes löysin saippuanteon. I have always hated handicrafts (like knitting and stuff), until I discovered soap making.
5. En lue paljoa, mutta Diana Gabaldonin Muukalaissarjaa voisin lukea uudestaan ja uudestaan. I don´t read a lot, but I can read Diana Gabaldon´s Outalnder series over and over again.
6. Syön mielelläni kasvisruokaa, mutta mikään ei voita kunnon naudanlihapihviä. I like to eat vegetarian food, but nothing beats a good beefsteak.
7. Tunnustan, olen jäätelöholisti. Suosikkini on minttu- tai lakritsijäätelöt. I confess, I´m a ice cream-oholic. My favorites are mint- and licorice.
Congratulations, Marika!
VastaaPoistaThank you! It has been really fun to read small facts about people.
PoistaCongratulations Marika! You really deserved this nomination! Best regards, Gordana
VastaaPoistaThanks :) It was a really nice surprise.
PoistaSo sweet of you to nominate Signe: she deserves it! I am so impressed by her cosmetic experiments!
VastaaPoistaI have the same dream, Marika, and we are all ice-cream oholic ;). We make it twice a week even now when it's still cold outside and someone else would choose a warm tea :)
Have a nice weekend!
Signe has so good ideas and she really inspires me.
PoistaI don´t make ice cream that often, but I eat it almost every week. It is nice to make it from fresh berries or fruits.
So, is your mom Swedish? How interesting it is to be bilingual! Are they similar? Sometimes I think they are, but sometimes not really.
VastaaPoistaHihi, we share number 4, but you never know what life brings and what you are going to be fond of next!
No, my mother is not Swedish nor my father. There is a minority of Swedish speaking Finns in Finland, about 5% of the Finnish population. Finland was a part of Sweden in the 18th century and then the official language was Swedish. And no :) Finnish and Swedish are so different from each other. Finnish is related to Hungarian and Swedish is very similar to Norwegian and Danish. You are right, you will never know what new thing you find and like in the future.
PoistaI remember the main division of languages and I know there is Finno-Ugric group, but I've never seen/heard any similarity between these two.
PoistaNever mind, the more languages you speak, the better
Congratulations Marika! It was nice to read a little more about you :) and to know that I am not the only ice cream-oholic. :)
VastaaPoistaThanks Roxana :) Ice cream is the best ;)
PoistaIt's great knowing a little more about you, Marika. :-) I love ice cream and mint, too. Licorice, not so much. I hope to visit Scandinavia before I get too old, and hopefully have a chance to have ice cream and a soapy chat with you. :-)
VastaaPoistaIt was difficult to decide what to tell you all.
PoistaLicorice, especially the salty kind is something that is so popular in Finland and in Scandinavia. Do visit Scandinavia if you have the chance, but do it in the summer or midwinter. Otherwise it is so dark and grey.
Goodness, I'm really behind on my blog comments! Congrats Marika, it was so nice to learn a little more about you, and good choice to nominate Signe, her blog is a wealth of information :)
